ReAct - Recall and
Activities
Established in 1994, ReAct is a multi-media resource library
that provides stimulating materials for use in all areas of
reminiscence and activities for older people.
The library resources include specialist equipment, games
and activity ideas. We also have various books on reminiscence,
training, local history and wartime etc. The reminiscence
boxes that we have are full of original memorabilia on various
themes such as Schooldays, Households and the World Wars.
Snoezelen sensory equipment (fibre optics, bubble tubes etc)
is also available for those who have been trained.
ReACT membership and services are available for use by those
working with older people in whatever capacity.
Annual Membership fee is £350.00 for the loan of 10
items within one month.
Six Monthly Membership fee is £180.00 for the loan
of 10 items within one month.
The service is free to individual carer of an older person
in the community on a monthly exchange basis, with a maximum
of
4 items
per
month.
