User/Carer Consultation
Programme
In response to the Better Government for Older People initiative
our User/Carer Consultation and Involvement Programme was
established. Its objective is to identify local needs by seeking
the views of older people and their carers. This information
is used both to inform our own service provision and to feed
into planning fora to influence statutory bodies and other
agencies who provide services. Recent research has included
provision of alarm pendants, warden services and the use of
Hip Protectors to prevent fractures.
